I love his unabashed willingness but am also disturbed by the sadly unattached public at large. Such a HUGE indication of the general malaise in our country-- ick. If Marty & I found this kid, we'd be on back-up dance so fuckin fast!

I hooked up with a program called The Wonder of Reading where you go to a local school and read one on one with kids once a week. I love it. Today was a volunteer appreciation thingy where the kids danced different International dances-- hilarious. The two kids I read with Gio & Franco also made me cards to thank me... so fucking cute!!!

One says "Mr. Squidward" because I told Gio I had some friends who called me Squidward. Franco drew a pic of me and he reading, not sure which is which.

Michael and the Beanstalk

I ghetto gardened what was once a little clip of a succulent from, well, I guess I'm not supposed to say, am I? Anyway, this one used to be just a little pick of twig (scroll down the see a "before" shot) and look at it now! I'm gonna climb it all the way into the sky, hook up with some kinda giant , kick his butt and then isn't there some kind of pot of gold or something at the end of this story? Looking forward to that.

Sister Dottie S. Dixon

Back in Mid-May I went to see my dear friend Charles Lynn in his one-person show "The Passion of Sister Dottie S. Dixon". It was the toast of Salt Lake City as was he. I was sa proud! I went on a mad Cyndi Lauper tour of the 80s this morning. A devoted child of the 70s, the next decade would bring nothing but really bad clothes, lotsa polka dots and a serious identity crisis for me. However, there's no denying what this gorgeous little creature brought to the era. She was, as is now, authentic. This is a great vid with her adorable little tear-stained (okay, mascara stained) face. Do hang out for the fan that runs on stage (so sweet) and Cyndi's magic trashcan ride through the air.

Honorable mention to the guitar player's hair in which, an entire family could be stashed and safely smuggled through customs.
